Decreasing Bodyfat

To decrease bodyfat you have to follow a few important principles. First you must understand them. The primary way you can decrease your bodyfat is by consuming fewer calories than your body burns. If you are supplying your body with a surplus of calories, it will store those extra calories most often times as fat. Therefore you create a caloric deficit by around 300 to 500 calories per day, and this will force your body to take those calories from fat stores thus decreasing bodyfat.

Your body burns a certain amount of calories each day by maintaining certain functions necessary for survival. This includes brain functions, your heart beat, the digestive processes, etc... This is called your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). You combine your BMR with the amount of calories you place upon it through physical activity. Take our free physical analysis to determine your BMR and roughly how many calories you need to consume per day.

Diet alone can definitely yield great results and help you lose fat, but exercising can help ensure not only you will decrease bodyfat, but also ensure good health. Doing some form of aerobic (cardiovascular) exercise every day is a great way to reinforce your goals of losing weight. The most difficult part of decreasing bodyfat is making the transition from one lifestyle to another. As with anything in life where there is a beginning and an end goal, it takes consistency and motivation.
