Cardio Machines

The key to sticking to an exercise routine is by enjoying the exercise itself. Usually most exercises are performed with the help of a machine. Treadmills and stationary bikes are the most popular exercise machines to use for cardiovascular purposes. Any piece of equipment that raises your heart rate for a period of time can be considered a cardio machine.

As a fitness trainer I recommend to stick to the basic machines that will allow you to accomplish that heightened state of cardiovascular output in a natural way which your body prefers. There are a lot of silly gadjets that come out which are just run-offs of the basic movements. I recommend treadmills or stationairy bikes with reasonable adjustable controls.

The purpose of cardio machines is to ultimately help you keep your cardiovascular system healthy (most people do it to lose fat as it helps to burn calories). So you don't even necessarily need a cardio exercise machine to reach the goal of that heightened cardiovascular state. Running, walking, jogging, swimming, playing sports, etc... can all help you achieve this.

I always recommend to clients that they join a gym, as they have it all. Most gyms contain literally over 100k's worth of equipment, it is well worth the monthly fee if you want to make a significant change in your life.
