The importance of exercising and physical activity

"Exercise Schmexercise" many people think when the term comes to mind. There's not many people who seem to like what exercise involves which is an unfortunate byproduct of American Culture. Excuse me if I sound harsch but hey, it's the truth! There's this huge contradiction in society when technological experts are trying to make life "easier" and doctors are trying to cure cancer. What is the contradiction you ask?

The contradiction is that while we become lazier and lazier, partly due to the technological advances through the introduction of miscellaneous gadjets, our body is suffering from it as it results into an unhealthier state of existence. Our bodies were meant to be active, they are meant to be used on a daily basis whether we like it or not. This is because our ancestors who provided us with our current genetic configuration were very active people, they had to be in order to survive. Being inactive (sedentary) is viewed as an injury from the body's perspective.

Therefore the importance of daily exercise is astronomical. You need to perform some sort of exercise daily to ensure the safety of your health. When I mean exercise, I mean any physical activity which results in a raised heart beat for a period of time greater than 10 minutes. There are many things you can do to achieve this state of heightened cardiac output. Walking, running, jogging, sports, conventional exercising, a whole slew of things.
